Your Club Needs You!

Your club needs you!
Rushcliffe Swimming Club has survived for the better part of 40 years thanks to those who volunteer their time to teach or act as members of the committee.

The club is always on the look out for new volunteers but has a quite pressing need to recruit additions to the teaching staff for both Saturday mornings (8-10am) and Tuesday evenings (8-9pm). This is because, exam results willing, the club expects to lose 5 or 6 of our current crop of teenage teachers when they head off to university in September without there being any definite replacements in the wings.
Although there are a couple who do more, the majority of our teachers lead an hour's worth of classes each week. The club can provide the opportunity to shadow an existing teacher before you make a commitment and, if you do decide to have a go, will fully fund attendance of the level 1 training course which is a pre-requisite to starting to teach. Attendees must be 16 or older.

Could you become a swimming teacher? If you're interested or even if you just want to have a chat to explore what might be involved, let us know!

Feel free to approach any member of the committee or get in touch with me, Steve Forrest, at lessons@rushswim.com.
