Rushcliffe Swimming Club was established in 1976 and is based at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre in West Bridgford, Nottingham. Run entirely by volunteers, we aim to provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere in which children can learn to become enthusiastic and competent swimmers.
Although we are not a competitive club, we aim for the children to achieve their potential and we provide monthly opportunities for children to obtain the ASA skills and distance awards. We also run an informal annual gala every May in which children can compete against other club members. Beyond this, we have other members who go on to join competetive clubs and who perform very well in this context.
We are affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and all of our volunteer teachers are CRB checked and accredited to ASA Level 1 or Level 2 standards.
